34. Saving and transitional provisions

Regulations 3 and 5 of the amended Regulations apply to any application to be an approved manufacturer that is made under regulation 3 of the old Regulations and is pending before the Authority immediately before 21 September 2026.

Regulation 14 of the amended Regulations applies to —

any application for approval of a class of gaming machines made under regulation 14 of the old Regulations; and

any application for approval to modify any approved class of gaming machines made under regulation 15(1) of the old Regulations,that is pending before the Authority immediately before 21 September 2026.

Regulation 21 of the amended Regulations applies to —

any application for approval of a class of gaming equipment made under regulation 21 of the old Regulations; and

any application for approval to modify any approved class of gaming equipment made under regulation 22(1) of the old Regulations,that is pending before the Authority immediately before 21 September 2026.

Regulations 24A and 24B of the amended Regulations apply to —

any application to be an approved test service provider made under regulation 24A of the old Regulations; and (b)any application to renew the term of approval of an approved test service provider made under regulation 24G of the old Regulations,that is pending before the Authority immediately before 21 September 2026.

Regulation 24F of the old Regulations applies to any approval granted by the Authority under regulation 24B(2) (including as applied by regulation 24G(1)) of the old Regulations before 21 September 2026.

Regulation 25 of the amended Regulations applies to —

any application for approval of the Authority for any linked jackpot arrangement made under regulation 25 of the old Regulations; and

any application for approval to modify any approved linked jackpot arrangement made under regulation 25A(1) of the old Regulations,that is pending before the Authority immediately before 21 September 2026.

Regulation 25B of the amended Regulations applies to any application for approval of the Authority for the decommission of any approved linked jackpot arrangement that is made under regulation 25B of the old Regulations and is pending before the Authority immediately before 21 September 2026.

The amended Regulations do not apply, and the old Regulations continue to apply, to, or in relation to —

any person who is treated as an approved manufacturer under section 96(4)(b) of the Casino Control (Amendment) Act 2024; and

any person whose approval as an approved supplier is continued under section 96(5) of the Casino Control (Amendment) Act 2024.

In this regulation —

“amended Regulations” means the principal Regulations as amended by these Regulations;

“old Regulations” means the principal Regulations as in force immediately before 21 September 2026.
