Assignments and licences before appointed day

Where any licence has been granted, or any contract or arrangement (including any assignment of copyright) has been entered into, before the appointed day, being a licence, contract or arrangement relating to —
(a)
the broadcast of a work or other subject-matter; or
(b)
the inclusion of a work or other subject-matter in a cable programme,the licence, contract or arrangement shall, subject to any contrary intention, continue to have effect on or after that day in accordance with the provisions of this Act in force immediately before that day, as if the amendment Act had not been enacted.
