Section 400

If any person affected by a judgment or order made by a criminal court desires to have a copy of any order or deposition or other part of the record, he shall, on applying for such copy, be furnished with it by the court:Provided that he pays for it a fee of 50 cents for each page with a minimum of $10 or such other fee as may be fixed from time to time by the Minister unless the court for some special reason thinks fit to furnish it free of cost.

Nothwithstanding anything in subsection (1), an accused person committed for trial shall receive free of charge a copy of the depositions of the witnesses recorded by the Magistrate.[399
