Section 405

If any person is killed in endeavouring to arrest or to keep in lawful custody a person accused as aforesaid, the President may order payment out of the Consolidated Fund to the wife, husband, parent or child of the deceased, of such sum or sums as appear reasonable, in compensation for the loss sustained.[404
