Appeals Secretary
Subregulation 1
The Minister may appoint a public officer as the Appeals Secretary for the purposes of this Part.
Subregulation 2
The Appeals Secretary provides, in relation to every appeal under section 35B of the Act, administrative and secretariat support —
to the Minister; and
to any Appeals Advisory Panel established under section 35C of the Act.
Subregulation 3
The Appeals Secretary must act according to any instructions that the Minister may give from time to time and is, in particular, responsible for —
the acceptance, transmission, service and custody of documents according to this Part;
the establishment and maintenance of a list of all notices of appeal filed with the Minister; and
the keeping of a record of the proceedings of an Appeals Advisory Panel in such form as the chairperson may direct.
