General penalty

Any person guilty of an offence under this Act for which no specific penalty is provided shall be liable on conviction —

(a)

in respect of a first offence, to a fine not exceeding $2,000; and

(b)

in respect of a second or any subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.[25
