Hazardous Waste (Control of Export, Import and Transit) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation S474 2026, currently marked in force and first recorded in 2026.
Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Hazardous Waste (Control of Export, Import and Transit) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 August 2026.
New regulation 10A
In the Hazardous Waste (Control of Export, Import and Transit) Regulations 1998 (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), after regulation 10, insert —“Validity period of permits10A. Every Basel permit and special permit is, unless revoked under regulation 18 or surrendered under regulation 19, valid for a period of one year starting on the date the permit is granted.”.
Amendment of Schedule
In the principal Regulations, in the Schedule, replace items 1 and 2 with — “1.Application under regulation 3, 4 or 5 for Basel permit or special permit $395 2.Application under regulation 21 for variation of Basel permit or special permit $130 per application”.
Saving provision
Despite regulation 2, where, before 1 August 2026, a person applies under regulation 3, 4 or 5 of the principal Regulations for a Basel permit or special permit that is to be valid for 3 months, the permit so granted on or after 1 August 2026 is, unless revoked under regulation 18 of the principal Regulations or surrendered under regulation 19 of the principal Regulations, valid for a period of 3 months starting on the date the permit is granted.
