Savings and transitional provisions for certain approvals required by person holding shares in law corporation
of Legal Profession (Law Practice Entities) Rules 2015
Subregulation 1
Every approval of the Council under the repealed section 81H(4) of the Act as in force immediately before 18 November 2015 (being an approval in force immediately before that date) is to be treated, on and after that date, as an approval of the Director of Legal Services under section 159(4) of the Act.
Subregulation 2
With effect from 18 November 2015, any application which was made before that date for the approval of the Council under the repealed section 81H(4) of the Act as in force immediately before that date, and which is pending immediately before that date, is to be treated, on and after that date, as an application for the approval of the Director of Legal Services under section 159(4) of the Act.
Subregulation 3
The Society may transfer to the Director of Legal Services —
the particulars of and any documents relating to any approval of the Council referred to in paragraph (1); and
the particulars of and any documents relating to any application referred to in paragraph (2).
