Regulation 66

Consideration by Medical Council

Subregulation 1

On receipt of an application referred to in regulation 65, the Registrar shall refer it to the Medical Council for consideration.

Subregulation 2

Except with the leave of the Medical Council, the applicant shall not appear before the Medical Council on the consideration of the application.

Subregulation 3

The Medical Council shall consider the application in private and may, if it thinks fit, adjourn the consideration to a future date or require the applicant to be examined by medical practitioners to be appointed by the Medical Council.

Subregulation 4

If the Medical Council directs the restoration of the applicant’s name to the register, the Registrar shall send notice thereof to the authorities or persons, if any, to whom he has previously given notice of removal.
