27. Arrangements when cattle are carried

In any passenger ship where cattle are carried in the between decks or holds, the space occupied by them shall be effectually shut off from the passenger space by bulkheads, wooden partitions, or otherwise to the satisfaction of the Port Master or a surveyor of ships. The cattle space shall also be separately ventilated and drained.
