Freedom from defects, etc.
The finished material shall be sound and free from cracks, surface flaws and laminations, and no hammer-dressing, patching, burning or electric welding is permissible. In the event of any material proving unsatisfactory in the course of working or machining, it shall be rejected notwithstanding any previous certification of satisfactory testing.
