Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions) (Discipline) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 May 2026.

Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions) (Discipline) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation S262 2026, currently marked in force and first recorded in 2026.
Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions) (Discipline) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 May 2026.
Amendment of regulation 2
In the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions) (Discipline) Regulations (Rg 5) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 2 —
after the definition of “officer”, insert —“ “Part 3A product” has the meaning given by section 19A of the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993;”;
after the definition of “probation officer”, insert —“ “specified psychoactive substance” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993;”; and
after the definition of “supervision officer”, insert —“ “vaporiser” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993;”.
Amendment of regulation 13
In the principal Regulations, in regulation 13(3), after sub‑paragraph (c), insert —“(ca)any Part 3A product;”.
Amendment of Schedule
In the principal Regulations, in the Schedule —
in Part I, after item (8), insert —“(8A)smoking or inhaling any substance by using a vaporiser in a centre;”;
in Part II, in item (1), replace “cigarette” wherever it appears with “Part 3A product”; and
in Part II, replace item (9) with — “(9)doing any of the following while on leave granted under regulation 12 or 13 of the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions, Medical Observation and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations: (a)consuming any controlled drug, psychoactive substance or specified psychoactive substance; (b)possessing —
any controlled drug or psychoactive substance; or (ii)any Part 3A product that contains a specified psychoactive substance;”.
Miscellaneous amendments
In the principal Regulations —
in the following provisions, replace “Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations” with “Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions, Medical Observation and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations”:Regulation 2, definition of “supervision officer”The Schedule, Part II, item (10); and
in the Schedule, in Part I, in item (42), replace “Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations (Rg 3)” with “Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions, Medical Observation and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations”.
