Regulation 18

Disqualifying convictions for Singapore passports

For the purposes of section 19(2)(c) of the Act, the Controller may, by written notice, refuse a Singapore passport to any citizen of Singapore if the Controller believes on reasonable grounds that the citizen has, in the 10 years before the application for the Singapore passport is made, been convicted of —

(a)

an offence under the Act or the repealed Act; or

(b)

an arrestable offence under any provision specified in Part 1 of the Third Schedule.
