Constitution of Board
of People’s Association Act 1960
(1)
The Board consists of —
the persons mentioned in section 4(1)(a), (b) and (c); and
4 members to be elected from among themselves by the persons mentioned in section 4(1)(d) at a general meeting of the Association.
(2)
The Secretary-Treasurer of the Association is the Secretary‑Treasurer of the Board.
(3)
Members of the Board elected under subsection (1)(b) hold office for a period of 3 years from the date of their election and are eligible for re‑election.
(4)
The term of office of a member of the Board elected under subsection (1)(b) ceases upon the revocation of his or her appointment as a member of the Association under section 4(2), or if his or her appointment as a member of the Association has expired and he or she has not been re‑appointed under section 4(3).
