37. Money deemed received, etc.

Any money or money’s worth paid or deposited by any person convicted under section 8 as a bet or wager or in settlement of any bet or wager, or for or in respect of the purchase of a lottery ticket, is to be treated as having been received to, or for the use of, the person from whom it was received.
