Counterfeiting seals
Subregulation 1
A person commits an offence if —
the person makes any appliance that is identical to or so nearly resembling a seal issued by the Registrar as to be calculated to deceive;
the person affixes an appliance mentioned in sub-paragraph (a) to a speed warning device; or
the person alters a seal in a way that is calculated to deceive.
Subregulation 2
A person who is guilty of an offence under paragraph (1) shall be liable on conviction —
in the case of a first offence — to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to both; and
in the case of a second or subsequent offence — to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
