An individual does not contravene section 218(2) or 219(2) by entering into a transaction or agreement in relation to securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or CIS units merely because the individual is aware that the individual proposes to enter into, or has previously entered into, one or more transactions or agreements in relation to those securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or CIS units.
