Temporary place of custody
Subregulation 1
Any detainee who cannot be immediately delivered to a detention barrack to serve his sentence of detention, or to be placed under close arrest, as the case may be, by reason of the fact that the detainee is —
(a)
in a unit that is engaged in operations;
(b)
in a vessel at sea; or
(c)
outside Singapore,may be kept in custody in such place as his unit commander may direct.
Subregulation 2
Any detainee to whom paragraph (1) applies shall be kept under conditions which are not detrimental to his health and shall be delivered to a detention barrack as soon as possible.
