12. State land not to be acquired by adverse possession
Feedback & supportNo State land shall be acquired by possession or unlawful occupation and the provisions of the Limitation Act 1959 shall not apply to any action brought by the Government for the recovery of State land.

“State land” includes all land contained or referred to in a notification or declaration made under the provisions of section 3 or 5 of the Land Acquisition Act 1966, and published in the Gazette in accordance with those provisions.
