Definitions

In these Regulations —[Deleted by S 741/2025 wef 01/12/2025]“Controller” includes —

(a)

an immigration officer or other person authorised by the Controller to act generally on his behalf under these Regulations; and

(b)

where the Controller authorises an immigration officer or other person to act on his behalf for the purpose of one or more but not all of these Regulations, for the purposes of such regulation, the immigration officer or other person so authorised;“foreign identification number” means —

(a)

the identification number assigned to a holder of a work pass issued under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990 and specified in that work pass; or

(b)

the identification number assigned to a holder of a pass issued under the Act and specified in that pass;“Form” means —

(a)

in the case of a form that is mentioned in these Regulations with a number or letter (or both) — the form with the same number or letter (or both) that is set out on the Internet website at https://www.ica.gov.sg; or

(b)

in any other case — the relevant form that is set out on the Internet website at https://www.ica.gov.sg;[Deleted by S 327/2025 wef 30/05/2025]“holder”, in relation to a Singapore visa, means the non-citizen to whom it was granted or a person included in it;“specified person”, in relation to a vessel, aircraft, train or bus, means —

(a)

a member of the crew of the vessel, aircraft, train or bus; or

(b)

a person who arrives in Singapore for the purpose of embarking on the vessel, aircraft, train or bus that has arrived or is due to arrive in Singapore, as a member of the crew of the vessel, aircraft, train or bus;“unberthed passenger” means a ship’s passenger for whom no accommodation in any cabin, stateroom or saloon is reserved;“unique identification number”, in relation to a person, means the identity card number (including the letters that form the prefix and suffix to the number) of an identity card issued to the person under the National Registration Act 1965.

Definition

“Controller” includes —

(a)

an immigration officer or other person authorised by the Controller to act generally on his behalf under these Regulations; and

(b)

where the Controller authorises an immigration officer or other person to act on his behalf for the purpose of one or more but not all of these Regulations, for the purposes of such regulation, the immigration officer or other person so authorised;

Definition

“foreign identification number” means —

(a)

the identification number assigned to a holder of a work pass issued under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990 and specified in that work pass; or

(b)

the identification number assigned to a holder of a pass issued under the Act and specified in that pass;

Definition

“Form” means —

(a)

in the case of a form that is mentioned in these Regulations with a number or letter (or both) — the form with the same number or letter (or both) that is set out on the Internet website at https://www.ica.gov.sg; or

(b)

in any other case — the relevant form that is set out on the Internet website at https://www.ica.gov.sg;

Definition

“holder”, in relation to a Singapore visa, means the non-citizen to whom it was granted or a person included in it;

“specified person”, in relation to a vessel, aircraft, train or bus, means —

(a)

a member of the crew of the vessel, aircraft, train or bus; or

(b)

a person who arrives in Singapore for the purpose of embarking on the vessel, aircraft, train or bus that has arrived or is due to arrive in Singapore, as a member of the crew of the vessel, aircraft, train or bus;

Definition

“unberthed passenger” means a ship’s passenger for whom no accommodation in any cabin, stateroom or saloon is reserved;
