42. Award in respect of member serving on contract

This regulation applies to a member serving on contract who is released from service as a result of sustaining, on or after 1 January 2023, any injury received in and which is attributable to service. (2) Subject to regulation 30, a member mentioned in paragraph (1) is eligible for an award of the higher of the following amounts:
an amount equal to the gratuity under regulation 27;
an amount equal to 12 months of his monthly gross salary.
Subregulation 1
This regulation applies to a member serving on contract who is released from service as a result of sustaining, on or after 1 January 2023, any injury received in and which is attributable to service.
Subregulation 2
Subject to regulation 30, a member mentioned in paragraph (1) is eligible for an award of the higher of the following amounts:
an amount equal to the gratuity under regulation 27;
an amount equal to 12 months of his monthly gross salary.
