47. Special award in respect of total disability arising from military operations or training

Where a member —
(a)
is eligible for an award under regulation 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 or 46, as the case may be; and
(b)
has, in the opinion of the Armed Forces Council, suffered total disability as a result of an injury received in the course of military operations or training,he may be granted a special award of a sum to be determined by the Armed Forces Council, in addition to the award which he is eligible for under those regulations.
