Regulation 7

Cessation of licence

A licence ceases to be valid in respect of a licensed installer or licensed contractor —

(a)

on the date the licensed installer or licensed contractor gives written notice to the Authority, in any form that the Authority may require, that the licensed installer or licensed contractor has permanently ceased carrying out wiring work or carrying on the business of providing wiring work, as the case may be;

(b)

in relation to a licensed contractor, on the date the registration of the licensed contractor’s business name (if any), under which the licensed contractor carries on the business of providing wiring work, under the Business Names Registration Act 2014 ceases or is cancelled; or

(c)

in relation to a licensed contractor that is a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1967 or a limited liability partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnerships Act 2005, on the date the licensed contractor goes into compulsory or voluntary liquidation other than for the purpose of amalgamation or reconstruction.
