Interpretation of this Part
In this Part —“accredited certification body” means a certification body accredited under the Certification Bodies (Water Efficiency Labelling) Scheme administered by the Enterprise Singapore Board (established by section 3 of the Enterprise Singapore Board Act 2018 (Act 10 of 2018));“affix”, in relation to a Water Efficiency Label, includes printing the Water Efficiency Label on the packaging of a registered water fitting;“high pressure washer” means a machine or tool that uses high pressure water spray to clean surfaces and objects;“hood dishwasher” means a manually loaded, programmable, hood-type pass-through dishwasher that typically has a detergent circulating zone and a freshwater rinsing process;“manufacturer” includes a person who assembles parts of a water device;“registered supplier” means an importer or a manufacturer who is registered as a registered supplier under regulation 40AE(3);[Deleted by S 904/2023 wef 01/01/2024]“supply”, in relation to any water device, means the supply of the water device in the course of any trade or business, and includes —
the supply of the water device by way of sale, lease, loan, consignment, hire or hire‑purchase;
the supply of the water device in connection with any agreement; (c)the offer to supply the water device; and
the display of the water device for supply;“test report”, in relation to any water device, means the report of the most recent test carried out for the water device in accordance with the prevailing test standard or method specified in Part 1 of the Second Schedule;“undercounter dishwasher” means a manually loaded, programmable, undercounter front-loading dishwasher that typically has a detergent circulating zone and a freshwater rinsing process;“water device” means any of the following:
a tap and mixer;
a flushing cistern;
a urinal flush valve;
a water-closet flush valve;
a waterless urinal;
a clothes washing machine intended for household use;
a washer extractor (other than for household use) that is —
designed to be loaded or unloaded through an opening in the front of the washer extractor; or
designed to be loaded or unloaded through an opening in the top of the washer extractor;
a dishwasher intended for household use;
a dishwasher (other than for household use) that is of any of the following types:
a hood dishwasher;
an undercounter dishwasher;
a high pressure washer other than for any of the following uses:
household use;
steam cleaning or hot water pressure washing;
washing equipment or vehicles;“Water Efficiency Label” means a water efficiency label that is in accordance with the requirements specified in Part 2 of the Second Schedule.
