Making of representations
Subregulation 1
Any representation by an association of police officers below the rank of inspectors affecting members in only one Division or Unit of the Police Force shall, in the first instance, be made in writing to the officer in command of that Division or Unit who shall consider the representation and take such action thereon, which may include reference to the Commissioner, as he thinks fit.
Subregulation 2
The officer in command of the Division or Unit of the Police Force shall inform the association of his action and, if the association so requests, shall forward to the Commissioner a report together with any written representation made to him by the association.
Subregulation 3
Any representation, other than a representation made in the first instance by an association of police officers below the rank of inspectors affecting members in only one Division or Unit of the Police Force, shall be made in writing to the Commissioner who shall consider the representation and take such action thereon, which may include reference to the Government, as the Commissioner thinks fit.
Subregulation 4
The Commissioner shall inform the association of his action under paragraph (3) and, if the association so requests, shall forward to the Government a report together with any written representation made to the Commissioner by the association.
Subregulation 5
In any case where the committee or representatives of an association are required to attend a meeting with, or are permitted to make oral representations to, the Minister or officers of the Government, the Commissioner shall be entitled, either himself or by a representative as he may decide, to be present and to be heard.
