Regulation 2

Definitions

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —“Accreditation and Examinations Committee” means a committee appointed by the Board under section 30 of the Act;“approved foreign qualification in opticianry” means a certificate or diploma in opticianry obtained from a foreign institution specified in Part II of the First Schedule;“approved foreign qualification in optometry” means a diploma or degree in optometry obtained from a foreign institution specified in Part II of the Second Schedule;“approved local qualification in opticianry” means a certificate or diploma in opticianry obtained from a local institution specified in Part I of the First Schedule;“approved local qualification in optometry” means a diploma or degree in optometry obtained from a local institution specified in Part I of the Second Schedule;“Certificate in Contact Lens Practice” means a certificate in Contact Lens Practice issued by the Singapore Polytechnic between 1990 and 1995;“conditional registration” means a registration subject to such conditions as the Board thinks fit.

“conditional registration” means a registration subject to such conditions as the Board thinks fit.
