Security measures
Subregulation 1
Where any radioactive material is in use, being stored at a facility or site, or being transported, the licensee must establish, implement and maintain, at a minimum, security measures capable of preventing unauthorised access to the radioactive material.
Subregulation 2
Where, in the opinion of the Director‑General, the security measures at the facility or site are insufficient to prevent unauthorised access to the radioactive material, the Director‑General may, by written notice, require the licensee to establish, implement or improve the security measures at the facility or site, or in transport, within a reasonable time determined by the Director‑General.
