Wearing of Medal, Star, Bar and Bar (Enhanced)
Subregulation 1
The Medal shall be worn on the left side of the outer garment and suspended by a ribbon.
Subregulation 2
The ribbon shall be purple in colour, with a blue stripe in the centre and a yellow stripe on either side of the blue stripe.
Subregulation 3
The left side of the ribbon shall bear the total number of operations referred to in rule 3(1) in which the person to whom the Medal is awarded has participated.
Subregulation 4
The right side of the ribbon shall bear the total number of tours of duty in operations referred to in rule 3(1) which the person to whom the Medal is awarded has completed.
Subregulation 5
Subject to paragraph (7), a Bar or Bar (Enhanced) shall be attached to the ribbon by which the Medal is suspended.
Subregulation 6
Subject to paragraph (7), where the total number of Bars and Bars (Enhanced) awarded to a person is 2 or more, each Bar or Bar (Enhanced) shall be worn above every other Bar or Bar (Enhanced), if any, which was awarded earlier.
Subregulation 7
Where the total number of Bars and Bars (Enhanced) awarded to a person is 4 or more —
the first 3 Bars or Bars (Enhanced) to be awarded shall be attached to the ribbon by which the Medal is suspended; and
in the case of every subsequent 3 Bars or Bars (Enhanced) to be awarded —
an additional Medal shall be worn on the left of the preceding Medal; and
each Bar or Bar (Enhanced) shall be attached to the ribbon by which the additional Medal is suspended.
Subregulation 8
A Star which is awarded in addition to the Medal shall be attached to the centre of the ribbon by which the Medal is suspended, below every Bar or Bar (Enhanced), if any, attached to the ribbon.
