162. Marriage not to be contracted without consent of Director‑General

No woman or girl detained under the provisions of this Part or in respect of whom security has been furnished under section 156(3) may contract any form of marriage without the previous consent in writing of the Director‑General.

“Director‑General”, except in Part 7, means the Director‑General of Social Welfare and includes any person who is authorised by the Director‑General to perform any of the duties or exercise any of the powers of the Director‑General under this Act;
