176. Appointment of officers

The Minister may appoint such officers as the Minister thinks fit for the purposes of this Part and may confer upon those officers all or any of the powers conferred and duties imposed upon the Director‑General by this Part.
Director‑General
“Director‑General”, except in Part 7, means the Director‑General of Social Welfare and includes any person who is authorised by the Director‑General to perform any of the duties or exercise any of the powers of the Director‑General under this Act;
An appointment of an officer under subsection (1), and the powers conferred and duties imposed on the officer, must be published in the Gazette.
