Practising certificate
Subregulation 1
For the purposes of section 23(3) of the Act, a practising certificate is to be granted for a period not exceeding 5 years from the date of issue or renewal of the practising certificate.
Subregulation 2
A registered allied health professional must, at the time of an application for the grant or a renewal of a practising certificate, pay to the Council for the period that the practising certificate is to be valid, the practising fee specified in the Third Schedule.
Subregulation 3
The holder of a practising certificate must make available his or her original practising certificate when requested to do so in his or her practice as an allied health professional.
Subregulation 4
Any person who fails to comply with paragraph (3) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
