Section 14 — Employment Agencies Act 1958

(1)

Any person who is aggrieved by a decision of the Commissioner to —

(a)

refuse to grant or renew a licence under section 7(2);

(b)

debar that person from applying or being granted a licence under section 7(5);

(c)

suspend or revoke a licence under section 10(1);

(d)

refuse to register an employment agency personnel under section 12(3); or

(e)

deregister an employment agency personnel under section 12(10),may, within 14 days of the date of receipt of the notice of the decision, appeal in writing to the Minister whose decision is final.

(2)

The Minister may, by writing under the hand of the Minister, delegate all or any of his or her powers under this section (except this power of delegation) to any public officer.

(3)

A delegation under subsection (2) is revocable at will and no delegation prevents the exercise of any power under this section by the Minister.

(4)

A power so delegated, when exercised by the delegate, is, for the purposes of this section, deemed to have been exercised by the Minister.[13
