2A. Appointment of Director of Legal Services

The Minister may appoint a Director of Legal Services —
Director of Legal Services
“Director of Legal Services” means the Director of Legal Services appointed under section 2A(1);
to administer Parts 4A and 9A; and
to perform such other functions and duties as the Minister may assign to the Director of Legal Services.
An appointment under subsection (1), and an assignment under subsection (1)(b), must be published in the Gazette.
The functions, duties and powers of the Director of Legal Services under this Act may be performed, discharged and exercised by any public officer who is authorised by the Director of Legal Services to do so.
