Power to waive or modify conditions or requirements
of Legal Profession (Law Practice Entities) Rules 2015
Subregulation 1
The Director of Legal Services may, at any time in the discretion of the Director of Legal Services, waive or modify any condition imposed by the Director of Legal Services under —
Division 4 of Part IXA of the Act; or
this Part or any other rules made under section 184 of the Act.
Subregulation 2
Before modifying under paragraph (1) any condition of any licence issued or approval granted to a person, the Director of Legal Services must —
give that person written notice of the intention of the Director of Legal Services to do so;
specify the time (being not less than 14 days after the date of service of the notice on that person) within which written representations may be made to the Director of Legal Services with respect to the proposed modification of the condition; and
consider any such written representations made by that person.
