The Director of Legal Services may require any Joint Law Venture, Formal Law Alliance, foreign law practice, representative office, Singapore law practice, foreign lawyer or solicitor to provide the Director of Legal Services with such documents, particulars or information as the Director of Legal Services considers necessary for the purposes of ascertaining whether —

(a)

any of the provisions of Division 4 of Part IXA of the Act or of this Part or any other rules made under section 184 of the Act, or any of the conditions imposed under that Division or under this Part or those rules, have been complied with;

(b)

any licence issued under Division 4 of Part IXA of the Act should be cancelled; or

(c)

any approval under section 176(1) or (9) of the Act, or under this Part, should be cancelled.
