Regulation 25A
Examination of child with permission of Court
Subregulation 1
An application for permission to appoint a registered medical practitioner, psychologist, counsellor, social worker or mental health professional under section 43B of the Act must be made by summons and supported by an affidavit.
Subregulation 2
At the hearing of the application for permission, the Court may give such directions and make such orders as it thinks fit, including directions —
relating to the appointment of an independent expert and the payment of the expert’s remuneration; and
limiting the number of experts who may be called in the proceedings.
Subregulation 3
To avoid doubt, no application under paragraph (1) may be made —
for the appointment of a registered medical practitioner, psychologist, counsellor, social worker or mental health professional who is —
a public officer in the Court; or
a person who is involved in the examination and assessment of the child pursuant to rule 25; or
in respect of any examination or assessment of a child directed by the Court under rule 25.
