Powers of inspectors
(1)
Any inspector appointed under this Act may —
(a)
board any vessel having petroleum or dangerous petroleum as cargo;
(b)
inspect, examine and test all petroleum or dangerous petroleum on board the vessel;
(c)
in like manner inspect, examine and test all petroleum and dangerous petroleum stored on land;
(d)
for such purposes take samples thereof; and
(e)
enter any place where he has reason to believe that petroleum or dangerous petroleum is kept in excess of the quantities allowed by this Act.
(2)
The Port Master or any police officer not below the rank of sergeant may board any ship or vessel for the purpose of ascertaining whether any breach of this Act is being committed.
