40. Composition of offences
Feedback & supportThe Chief Executive or any officer authorised by the Chief Executive may compound any offence under this Act that is prescribed as a compoundable offence by collecting from a person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding the lower of the following:
Chief Executive
“Chief Executive” means the Chief Executive of the Agency appointed under section 38 of the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency Act 2016 and includes any person acting in that capacity;
one half of the amount of the maximum fine that is prescribed for the offence; or
$5,000.
On payment of the sum of money mentioned in subsection (1), no further proceedings are to be taken against that person in respect of the offence.[67
