of Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Service Medal Rules 1973

Regulation 9

The Medal shall be worn on the left side of the outer garment suspended by a purple ribbon one and three-tenths inches in width and two inches in length. The ribbon shall be of the following description:—

(a)

for Operational Service, the ribbon shall have in the centre a red stripe one-eighth of an inch in width and a yellow stripe one-eighth of an inch in width on either side of the red stripe; and

(b)

for Non-operational Service, the ribbon shall have in the centre a white stripe one-eighth of an inch in width and a yellow stripe one-eighth of an inch in width on either side of the white stripe.
