Subregulation 1
An AOC holder must ensure that every relevant aircraft is equipped with a navigation system that enables the aircraft to proceed in accordance with —
the operational flight plan; and
the requirements of an appropriate air traffic services authority.
Subregulation 2
An AOC holder must not carry out a specified navigation performance operation with any relevant aircraft unless —
the aircraft is equipped with the capability of operating in accordance with the specified navigation performance; and
the AOC holder has an approval granted by the Director‑General of Civil Aviation under the Air Navigation (98 — Special Operations) Regulations 2018 for that purpose.
Subregulation 3
An AOC holder must not operate a small aeroplane in RVSM airspace unless —
the aeroplane is equipped with the capability —
to indicate to the flight crew the flight level being flown;
to automatically maintain a selected flight level;
to provide an alert to the flight crew when the altitude of the aeroplane deviates from the selected flight level by more than 300 ft (90 m); and
to automatically report pressure altitude; and
the AOC holder has an approval granted by the Director-General of Civil Aviation under the Air Navigation (98 — Special Operations) Regulations 2018 for that purpose.
Subregulation 4
In this regulation, “specified navigation performance operation” has the meaning given by the Air Navigation (98 — Special Operations) Regulations 2018.
