5. Modified application of Legal Profession (Deposit Interest) Rules

The Legal Profession (Deposit Interest) Rules (R 5) apply, as modified in the Fourth Schedule, to —

a Joint Law Venture or its constituent foreign law practice, a Qualifying Foreign Law Practice or a licensed foreign law practice, in respect of its practice of Singapore law;

a solicitor registered under section 36E of the Act, in respect of the solicitor’s practice of Singapore law in a Joint Law Venture or its constituent foreign law practice, a Qualifying Foreign Law Practice or a licensed foreign law practice; or

a foreign lawyer registered under section 36B of the Act, in respect of the foreign lawyer’s practice of Singapore law.
