12. Counterfeit prevention system to be fitted

No person shall, on or after 1st May 1997, be granted permission under section 20A(1) of the Act to manufacture or import a copying machine unless that machine is fitted with a counterfeit prevention system approved by the Board.
(2)
Paragraph (1) shall not apply to a copying machine that is imported for the purpose of re-export.
