Regulation 3

The Medal shall consist of a circular cupronickel medal of one and three-eighths of an inch in diameter, having on the obverse side a medallion bearing the State Arms. On the reverse side shall be the State Flag upon a staff, encircled by a wreath of palm fronds around it and the inscription "PINGAT PERTAHANAN" shall be around the medal. At the centre top of the Medal shall be a five pointed star.
