Regulation 8

of Pingat Pertahanan (The Defence Medal) Rules 1970

Regulation 8

The Medal shall be awarded —

(a)

by the Director, Manpower Division, in respect of the members of the Singapore Armed Forces and the People's Defence Force;

(b)

by the Commissioner of Police, in respect of regular members of the Polis Repablik Singapura, the Port of Singapore Authority Auxiliary Police Force and the Singapore Airport Auxiliary Police Force; and

(c)

by the Assistant Commissioner, Police National Service Command, in respect of members of the Special Constabulary and the Vigilante Corps.
