Scaffolds supported by buildings, ships or other structures
Subregulation 1
It shall be the duty of the responsible person to ensure that the requirements of paragraphs (2) and (3) are complied with.
Subregulation 2
No part of a building, ship or other structure shall be used as support for any part of a scaffold in a workplace unless it is sufficiently stable, and of sound material and adequate strength to afford safe support.
Subregulation 3
Overhanging eaves gutters shall not be used as supports for any part of a scaffold in a workplace unless they have been specially designed as walkways and are of adequate strength.
