Resignations from Society
(1)
A member of the Society may at any time by writing under his hand delivered to the Registrar tender his resignation from the Society, and, unless the Council refuses to accept his resignation as provided for in subsection (2), his name shall be removed from the appropriate register and he shall cease to be a member of the Society.
(2)
The Council may refuse to accept the resignation of any member if —
it has reason to believe that the member has been guilty of misconduct or that circumstances exist to justify the removal of his name from the register;
it is aware that any matter concerning the member is before the Investigation Committee or the Disciplinary Committee of the Society for investigation or inquiry; or
the member is indebted to the Society. [29
