15. Amendment of section 46B

In the principal Act, in section 46B —

in the section heading, after “husband’s”, insert “or wife’s”; and

replace subsection (3) with —“(3) If a married man pronounces a divorce (talak) or his wife pronounces a divorce after delegation of talak by the man to her (talak tafwidh), the Court must cause the divorce to be registered if the Court is satisfied that the divorce is valid in accordance with the Muslim law.”.
