Regulation 5
Application for, or to renew, complex general aviation certificate
Subregulation 1
A person applying for a complex general aviation certificate (called in these Regulations an applicant) must —
provide the Authority with the particulars, information and documents specified in paragraph (2); and
pay to the Authority a non‑refundable application fee, if specified in the Second Schedule.
Subregulation 2
The particulars, information and documents required for an application mentioned in paragraph (1) are —
the name of the applicant;
the address of the applicant in Singapore;
the applicant’s principal place of business or permanent residence;
the details of the aircraft involved;
the location of the applicant’s operating base;
the applicant’s —
Operations Manual;
Maintenance Control Manual;
documents describing its safety management system; and
any other manuals, documents or further particulars relating to the applicant as may be required by the Authority to decide the application.
Subregulation 3
The Operations Manual and Maintenance Control Manual must comply with the requirements of these Regulations and are subject to the approval of the Director-General of Civil Aviation.
Subregulation 4
The application mentioned in paragraph (1) must be submitted to the Authority at least 90 days before the intended date of commencement of the applicant’s complex general aviation operations (or such shorter period as the Authority may allow in a particular case).
Subregulation 5
The holder of a complex general aviation certificate (called in these Regulations a CGAC holder) applying to renew a complex general aviation certificate must —
provide the Authority with the particulars, information and documents specified in paragraph (2) that differ from the CGAC holder’s existing complex general aviation certificate; and
make the application to the Authority at least 30 days before the date of expiry of the existing complex general aviation certificate.
Subregulation 6
An application mentioned in paragraph (5) that is made less than 30 days before the date of expiry of an existing complex general aviation certificate is treated as an application under paragraph (1) for a new complex general aviation certificate.
