Minimum staff strength at centres of licensees holding Class A licence only
Despite regulation 44, a licensee who holds only a Class A licence must ensure that at all times when there is any child present at the licensee’s centre during the operating hours —
where the number of children present at the centre is —
50 or less — at least 3 members of the licensee’s programme staff present at the centre have obtained the Child First Aid Accreditation certification; or
more than 50 — the number of members of the licensee’s programme staff who have obtained the Child First Aid Accreditation certification and are present at the centre is not less than the number calculated using the formula where B is the number of children at the centre at that time;
at least one member of the licensee’s staff present at the centre is an infant educator; and (c)one member of the licensee’s programme staff who has obtained the Child First Aid Accreditation certification and is present at the centre —
is the principal; or
where the principal is not present at the centre — is appointed to carry out principal supervisory duties in the absence of the principal.
