Codes of practice
(1)
The Authority may issue or approve one or more codes of practice and other standards of performance for the regulation of activities and conduct in the electricity industry.
(2)
A code of practice issued or approved under this section may be modified by the Authority in accordance with the relevant code of practice by notice published in such manner as will secure adequate publicity.
(3)
If any provision in any code of practice issued or approved by the Authority is inconsistent with the regulations, such provision, to the extent of the inconsistency —
has effect subject to such regulations; or
having regard to such regulations, does not have effect.
(4)
Any code of practice issued or approved by the Authority under this section is deemed not to be subsidiary legislation.
(5)
In this section, a reference to a code of practice includes a standard of performance.
